Hello. My name is Cyd and I am so excited to see everyone's faces! You all should be here soon... right? Thank you all for writing a little something on our wonderful blog. It was fun to read about what everyone has been up to. This summer I played out in the sun a lot :) I went to Powell a couple times and Bear Lake once. We also did some hiking and exploring and such. My Dad was able to be here for about 4 weeks so while he was here we did a lot of fun things.

At the beach at Powell with the fam

This picture to your right is how we eat our meals at Bear Lake... just kidding, just that particular meal, we have it every year.. called SHRIMP BOIL. finger food! Too bad I don't like shrimp :)

This big group of people you see in the bottom picture is who I spent my week with at Bear Lake.. my fam, some cousins, and some friends.

A bunch of us also went a concert and we did some other crazy things.
Oh! and can't forget Dave's! I did play a lot, but I still found time to workout and stay somewhat in shape..

Hope everyone enjoyed their summer as much as I did :)

Hey Everyone! It is so fun to read about all of your fun summer adventures. I hope you are all doing great, enjoying your summer and gearing up for a great season. Between hanging out with Coach Liz and Coach Dan at camp and recruiting I have had some time to be with my family and take some fun trips.

Here are some pictures:

These are my nieces and nephews and me at our family reunion in St. George in May. It was awesome!

I went scuba diving in Bonaire. It was so amazing. We have a beautiful world - above and below the surface.

My friend and me 80 feet down. (I am on the right- in case you couldn't recognize me in all my funny gear).

We saw lots of these.

A few of these.

A couple of these handsome fellas! And a couple of these beauties up close!

Mostly I spent alot of time looking at this.

Can't wait to have all of you back! Until then - have fun, work hard
and enjoy life! Love, Coach Nixon

Here are a few pictures of Germany I forgot to post on my last blog :)

Hey Team!
So I have been a complete slacker this summer and keep putting this blog writing thing off… Since I am considered a blog master, I figured I should probably write something before I bug everyone else to do it :)
My summer has been great so far! Back in June, my family and I traveled to Germany to pick up my brother from his mission. It was so great to see him again and he was able to be our personal tour guide and show us all around Germany. We saw some pretty cool castles, churches, and even saw a sweet soccer stadium where they played World Cup games 4 years ago. We had some good food, some bad food, and some interesting food but best of all was the chocolate!!! (I think I made myself sick by eating too much chocolate haha). After a few days in Berlin, we visited one of my brother’s friends in Münich and her and her family showed us all around. They even made my parents and I dress up in Oktoberfest clothing which was really funny but also pretty embarrassing…. It was a great trip and I was sad to come back home even though I’m glad I don’t have to pay to use a toilet anymore :)
Most of you already know this but I’m working at Walmart for the summer… Yeah, go ahead and laugh… I’m a cashier and it’s definitely not my favorite job in the world but I think I might be able to survive another month... maybe…
So my summer right now includes working out with Dave, working at Walmart, and the occasional fishing trip or raft floating :) It’s pretty lame sometimes (Walmart that is) and so I’m getting really excited to go to my cabin at Bear Lake a couple times.
Well I hope everyone is having a great summer and working hard cause I know Dave is getting excited to see everyone again, if you know what I mean… :)
I can’t wait to see everyone again and to get to know all the new girls!

Hellooooooooo! My summer has been sweeeet so far! I tried for the longest time to get a job for the summer so i could pay for the apartment i'm living in with my high school friends in Logan and to buy food and stuff like that...but i failed..horribly. I got denied every place i tried. Some people are so casual when saying they don't want to hire you like "Oh.. ya like we'll totally like get back to you like totally soon about your resume." One place even sent me a letter in the mail saying: "Abbie Beutler we are sorry to inform you that we do not want you to work for us." (really though it happened) So after i got shut down close to a dozen places i decided that i was meant to be unemployed. My mom blames it on the fact that when i applied to places i told them i needed a week off in two weeks to go on a cruise. She thinks that scared them away. But really after two full weeks of work anyone needs a good solid break. The cruise by the way. AWESOME. One of the last nights on our cruise we discovered a Casino thingy. Now really i had no idea what we were up to but next thing you know 6 hours have passed and we are still in that Casino. What had happen was.. these men (old and... confused) started tellin us to pick numbers for their roulette game. When they starting winning they handed us the chips. Of course we couldn't accept them.....but we did and ran for it! FYI for those of you who don't know you only have to be 18 to gamble on cruise ships so everything we were doin was totally legal :) But i have repented and been attending GA meetings (gamblers anonymous) ever since we ported. JK. but seriously repented. Just don't start playing blackjack my friends it can get crazy! There is alot more to that story but if you'd like to hear about it just ask! The rest of my summer has consisted of Jay Beautiful (haha also something ya'll can feel free to ask about) For those of you who weren't at the UVU camp that is where i met him. Also some boating, floating the river and workin on the family farm to pay my parents back for the cruise expenses ha! I hope everything is just dandy for ya'll i'm counting down the days!
PS so i googled the man that was giving us chips on the cruise...this is him.pretty sure.

Oh and sorry, that last post was me, Kim!! Sorry, forgot to mention that!! :)

Tim McGraw!! Got him flexing ;)
My friend Syd and I at the tailgate

Hey there everyone! Well it has been a busy summer.. I graduated Jun 21, and pretty much went straight to Utah where I visited my brothers and sister and their respective spouses as well as my twin who is doing summer semester at BYU. We went to 7 peaks and saw eclipse at 3 in the morning the day it came out! We also traveled up to Caldwell/Boise, Idaho for my family reunion and was not too far from Kali, actually! although sadly I never got to see her :/ We went to the lake and wake boarded, jet skied, and just hung out with all my relatives. Sadly, we didn't see any firework show for the 4th, but I saw some good pictures in the newspaper the next day. ;) Overall, the weather was amazing and I am very grateful to be coming out to the West to enjoy the great weather you all have out here. Back in Virginia, I was welcomed home by high 90 degree weather plus humidity. So to say the least, it has been pretty miserable this past week, but it is good to be home!! I went to the Lady A and Tim McGraw concert with a bunch of friends for one of my best friend's birthday (she just barely turned 18!!) and it was lots of fun. Other than that, I'm just enjoying the time I have left here in VA with my family and friends before I come out to Utah. I am excited to see those I have met again and to meet all those I haven't had the chance too and get to know everyone better! Hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer :)

heyy heyy there ladies!!! So not much has gone on for me this summer. At the beginning of May my older sister graduated from college which was pretty awesome but probably the most boring thing I have ever sat through in my life! Other than that I have just been hanging out with my family and working out with my dad. I have also spent a lot of time in this town called Fort Collins helping my family on their ranch which leads me to a great story! So we went to Laramie, Wyoming for a rodeo that my uncle and cousins boyfriend were in. My cousins boyfriend is a bare back bronc rider, we were sitting in the family section about 3 feet away from the arena fence and as Tyler is riding the colt gets really close to the fence and flippin totally jumped the fence right into the bleachers and was like less than a foot away from me and my sister! She cried I laughed we got some beer in her and she calmed down. For sure something you would see on whacked out sports!

Other than that nothing much has gone on! I went to the doctor a while ago just to find out that I have the knee of a 50 year old (be jealous) and I have premature arthritis so now I have to wear this big ugly brace :/ Oh and I went to the Rockies game on July 3rd and got to sit on the field and watch the firework show it was awesome!!! On Friday me and my little sister are going to Arizona to visit my aunt and enjoy the pool and hot weather!

See you all in just over a month! Lovingtons!!!

Sorry that last one was from me Whitney ha sorry about that ha love ya girls!

Hey girls! Well summer is going great! A little too fast but its going pretty well! I am actually going on a few vacations... South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore and camp :) so excited! Then i am going to Alaska on a cruise in August. But i can't wait, its not coming fast enough though. Also, i am going to the Tim McGraw and Lady A concert ha i won them ok no i didn't my friend did, but i took her to some rodeo in West Jordan and she won the dancing competition, so since she was so willing to take me, i get to tag along with her! ha but i am super stoked for that... sorry for all those who dislike country but i am one of those who LOVES it ha. but ya here is me and my friend at the rodeo, we kind of forget to dress up so don't mind our outfits, ya so that's the rodeo clowns and funny story, that guy to the right of me, (if looking at the picture) he put his arm around me so i was a little caught off guard so i put my arm awkwardly around him and made the face haha but it was super fun. But ya that's pretty much all that's going on that's worth putting down. but i can't wait to see ya guys! have a great rest of the summer!

Hola:)

Hey Team! Hope everyone's summer is going great! I am just in lovely Parma, Idaho:) My days are pretty boring here. I workout in the morning then go with my dad or he sends me off with our hired man and I'm stuck with him all day. I wash my steers everyday for the fair and give em baths:) I babysit my cute nephew and play pick-up ball with Boise State. Not too exciting:) Our family is anti-vacation so our vacations consist of going to our farms to check cattle! Let me tell you it's loads of fun! not...I have went boating a few times with my friends which has been fun. Saw the movie Eclipse which I thought was super dumb! Waste of money!...Well hope all is well with everyone:) I kinda don't know how to put up pictures but I'll give it a try!
see ya soon

Hey guys! I figure I better fill you all in on how my summer has been going :D Well, as all of you know I'm sure, I found out I tore my labrum and got surgery the end of May. It was pretty rough the first few weeks, and extremely awkward trying to attempt normal daily activities, but I've survived! I officially am out of the sling today :D losing one arm really makes you
appreciate little things like picking something up or fixing your own hair, so always make sure to be grateful for that :P So yesterday I ran for the first time in a long time and it felt wonderful! I also went to physical therapy today and I'm feeling good about the progress I'm going to be making, they said that the range of motion was already pretty good, so I am pretty happy!

Other than my awesome shoulder issues, I've been having a wonderful summer! I've been working for my dad, and hanging out with lots of different friends. I got to go to the Kansas, Foreigner, and Styx concert and that was awesome! If you guys haven't heard of them you should check them out :D Fourth of July was also awesome, I had a family reunion Friday and Saturday and my aunt and uncle are in a band so we danced the night away both nights! The fireworks were also amazing, I love them. I also got to go to Lake Powell in the middle of June, which was bliss! Although I could go tubing or ride the wave runners, I got a decent tan ;) and got to go hiking and fishing.

Well I love and miss you all, and hope to hear from you soon! Can't wait to see all you girls and coaches, and get to know the new girls coming in!
Love, E
This is where I sat the whole vacation, with my little sling my Mom made me wear hahaha

At the amazing concert!!!

Eh!

I hope everyone is just having an amazing summer in all the different places we all are right now!  My summer days have been just filled with fun!  I have spent a ton of time with family and friends that I haven't seen in a way long time...it has been great.  On Mother's Day it was my Grandpa Eddy's 75th Birthday so my Grandma J threw him a huge surprise party with all our family and it was extremely special for him!  We had a huge bomb fire in my Grandpa Eddy's berm (a family favorite) and at this fire I thought it would be great to make J’s banana, chocolate, marshmallow campfire melts with my cousins so I did but sadly they didn’t love them at all…i couldn't believe it so i am thinking that something had to be wrong with fire that night…it wasn’t a Utah fire and we didn’t make it with our bare hands so maybe that had some kind of affect on the banana’s :/ we also roasted elk and duck hot dogs that evening, which was very different, we have never done that before but my Grandpa Eddy had gone hunting this year so we had to try it.  That also wasn’t a huge hit so we stuck to roasting the marshmallows that evening…they were normal! haha It has been just great to be home, see everyone, and share some laughs together!

Other than spending time with the family and taking long naps I have been going to my old high school, Elgin, in the mornings to shoot before school starts and then in the afternoon I head over to the Y and do some weights.  I know this trainer from way back and he has been working with me a little bit.  His workouts are extremely brutal and challenging, i would call him my Canadian version of Dave but his real name is Carlos!  Then on Monday's and Wednesday's I have been going back to Elgin in the evenings and have been doing a clinic they have going on right now with some of my old teammates.  It has been a lot of fun!

Well that is about everything that has happened so far and I don’t have a clue how to put up pictures so Kaycee I really need you?? haha I will definitely post again after I have done something a little more exciting and maybe I will know how to post pictures next time :)

Miss everyone daily

Love Chan

dear team,

my summer has just be so AWESOME so far. i have been doing absolutely nothing besides working out with dave (so much fun!), looking for a job (having no luck haha), and working on the raft. the raft is looking so nice by the way. It's all sanded and smooth so no prickley's will get in are you know where's while we sail! a lot of the milk jugs are now tied on but there's about 15 more that need to be added for balance as we learned from our last attempt...it worked great just a little off balance right chan? anyways another thing i did was go to my sisters baby shower! me and my sisters and my mom dressed up in dresses and old/weird hats to try and make it olden dayish...we're kinda weird sometimes haha. i will try and post a picture if i can figure out how to use this thing haha. and when we (me cyd kaycee and tash) go sailing i will definately post some more pictures so you guys can all get jealous!!

much love!

Jenna Johnson

Happy Birthday Coach Nixon!

Hey Team! Coach Liz here. I haven' t really done anything noteworthy or exciting yet this summer but I wanted to post anyway! Yesterday was Coach Nixon's birthday and how cool was it that half of the team could come to celebrate! Here's a photo from open gym. Cupcakes made by Cyd and Jenna. (Is it just me or does Jenna look a little more psycho than usual in this pic? ;)

Hello all! I don't like going to our blog and not seeing any new additions so I thought I'd write a little something...

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. Hopefully you've all had some down time to relax a little bit. A couple weeks ago Kaitilin, JJ, Kayc, and I went fishing! You should see the fish Jenna caught.. very impressive! Scroll down and you can see some pics! It has been weird not seeing the Super 8 everyday after everyone went home, so it was fun to go fishing and hang out with at least half of the Super 8! Oh, and for those of you who don't know, the Super 8 is a name we gave our apartment because there were 8 of us living together!

Biggest catch of the day!! Nice work J

These days Jenna, Kayce, Tash, and I have been going to Dave's at 7am 4 times a week. Its so fun, especially Thursdays when he kills us conditioning :) Its great. Besides that I've just been living with my brother at our house until the rest of the fam comes back in a few weeks, then the real fun begins with boating trips, concerts, and just hangin out with the fam!

Hope you are all working on your game but also enjoying your summer! That's very important :) Can't wait to see some new posts from you all!

CYD

So the past few weeks we've all been talking about things we could write on the blog so I decided to finally do it.

The past few days I was on the long road to Missouri (which took about 31 hours to complete if you include our sleep stop in Salina, KS) ...Anyway, the old Saturn made it all the way home without any problems so I think it deserves a medal or something for the 3,000 miles out there and back it endured.
On my journey, I got to visit Brynn in Highlands Ranch, CO (Denver) which was super fun and you should all be jealous :P Other than that the trip was pretty boring and not very good for your back so all of you coming to visit me I would advise you to get lots of good music and some comfortable seats to sleep in or else your back will hate you.

The real reason for this post is to tell of all the adventures the awesome remaining Super 8..cough cough.. Brynn who moved out early...cough cough... had the last few weeks (Super 8 includes Tasha-the honorary Super 8 resident)

1st- We had some campfires up Provo Canyon where we took a TON of pictures and made our own fire with our bare hands...I guess you could call us pretty awesome mountain-women-fire-starters....
We also made banana boats and they were soooooo gooooood!!!...props to JJ...and we took a TON of pictures which I would love to put up here but I don't think there would be enough space so I'll only put the important ones up.
In this picture (Front) Erika, Kyra, Jenna, Tash, Back) Cyd, Chantelle, Me (Kaitlin), and Kaycee. You can also see the roaring fire in front of us just to prove our fire making skills.

This picture is a very important picture. Jenna was able to somehow make her body unusually long..it's a mystery :P

In addition to all this fire making fun Kaycee, Cyd, Jenna, and I were able to go fishing up in American Fork one afternoon. It rained on and off and on but we were able to make it fun. We used lures for bait and Jenna caught 3 fish, while the rest of us caught about 10 apiece..just kidding we didn't catch any. I guess those fish just didn't like us. I was gonna add some pictures but Cyd already did that which works out great because my computer wasn't cooperating
Over and out :)
