Busy Summer!!!
Sorry we are late with our post! We hope everyone is having a great summer. The first fun experience in June was Jake being in HSM3. He had a blast and worked late hours. Thanks to Coach Nixon's friend Jen he even got to meet so of the stars!
We have been busy with spending time with Chris in between recruiting trips. We made it to the ward campout. The kids had a great time. Although Ethan had sprained his ankle and had to be carried everywhere by everyone!
We have had fun swimming at seven peaks. We even got to see Veva there! It is so fun to see the girls outside bball.
We made a trip while Chris was gone to This Is The Place in SLC. It was fun to see all the Pioneer a ctivities and go for a pony ride. The boys cousin wanted to ride the pony but she was 14
and the age limit is 12. Nick was 11
and she had to let their cousin ride also because she was smaller than Nick!! Nick had to ride the biggest pony!
We had a great Primary Pioneer Parade around the neighborhood, and of course the princess was pulled in her wagon that had been decorated by the boys! We are sad the summer is almost over and school will start too soon! We enjoy August with Chris home but are also excited getting ready for the new season! We welcome Jenna, Erica and Coach Chessman!
Isabel in her wagon!

Greetings from down south
Well this is my assigned month for the blog update and I feared if I had nothing on this thing I would get a beat down from Blake.jk As many of you may know I am currently a beverage cart girl at the local golf course, Deerwood Country Club. This has in many ways been the dream job to have for my summer here in Texas. I have gotten to know many of the regulars and I can honestly say I enjoy going into work. Besides work, I enjoy playing pool and sand volleyball.
During this summer we have had some interesting creatures break into the Beaman house. We were hearing noises above our activity room so my dad put a trap in our attic which connects to the roof of the room. The next morning we found a full grown raccoon in our trap. So we took it 5 miles away (cause that’s what you are suppose to do so they wont find their way back) and were hopeful that this catch would be the end to our troubles. No such luck. That same day we heard crawling and scratching noises in the same room. Come to find out our first catch was a mother of five baby coons. So we gradually caught them all baiting them with sardines and tuna. We had to take care of them (fed them each night) for a while until a lady who has a farm of them came a got them. My grandparents who live a few streets over had a pair of wild cats have kittens in their backyard and they are still living there and growing and growing by the day. LOL they will not leave because my grandma keeps feeding them. I have a favorite kitten that I want to keep and have tamed it to let me hold her. Wish the apartments allowed animals
Well ladies I just want yall to know how much I am looking forward to coming back in August and finishing out my senior year. I could not pick a better bunch to spend it with. At the course I am constantly bragging about what a great group of girls yall are and have many of them looking at the website and learning all about the Utah Valley women's basketball team.
I know many are concerned with Jordyn and her status right now with the surgery. She does not have access to a computer right now but I told her I was going to put a message on the team blog. She is currently only allowed to walk and bike. No twisting movements or running yet. Her biggest challenge right now is gradually getting takin off the pain pills. Because she was taking them for so long before even the surgery it is very difficult to get off of them, but she is doing great. She appreciates all your support and is very excited to return back in August.
I have nothing too exciting left to tell but I love you guys and hope you all are enjoying your summers!

UVUphoria!
Hi to all my favorite players! I thought for my blog contribution I would update you on all of the fun happenings here at your school. Yesterday and today was the big celebration for our official name change to Utah Valley University. Last night was a concert (Josh Grasin, Collin Raye, and Joe Nichols - : ) for all the country girls). It was fun and there were over 15,000 people at the baseball stadium to see it. They let people sit on the baseball field in the outfield on blankets and in the bleachers. After they had fireworks and a dance (of course I stayed and did some amazing dancing!)

Already in June!
Greetings from Boise! :)
I hope is everyone having a great summer. Is anyone else's flying by as fast as mine?? I decided I could update the blog... just FYI I still haven't heard from some of you folks, and it makes me wonder what yall are up to! Remember you're not restricted to the month that was given to you to post... i miss you girls and wanna hear whats going on!
Anyways... I've been very busy this summer. I got a job working at Monkey Dooz. Its a hair cutting salon, day spa, and party place for little kids. One side is a salon for boys and girls, the other side is where little girls can get makeovers and have parties. WE also have a spa where we do kids petticures and manicures. I work the front desk answering phones, i coordinate parties, i do up dos, makeup, and nails. It's the perfect job for me! I work six days a week so i'm super busy, but i love my job so that makes it easier. Although Saturdays can be somewhat stressful! It gets pretty crazy.
AFter work I go to good ol speed school four days a week... I've been doing it for a few weeks and still leave sore and exhausted after every workout! The first workout my hands were ripped up because he had me doing some sort of swinging things on the bar (in preparation for a pull-up) and I did so many i tore the skin right off! It's crazy tough but i LOVE it... so between work and training... i come home at the end of the day exhausted and shower and go to bed. I find time on the weekends to play with my friends.
Recently I saw When in Vegas, that movie with Ashton Kutcher and Camerane Diaz. I would strongly recommend it! I loved it! I also saw the movie Sex and the City...I loved it too. I've never laughed so hard in a movie during certain parts... and i even cried in other parts lol..however would no recommend it to you guys... just read the ratings before so you can atleast know what's coming :)
I continue to get wedding invitations in the mail.. I went to a good friend of mine's wedding the other day and let me tell you its sooo wierd! I still can't even imagine getting married...but hey different strokes for different folks right?
oh yes.. Boys...Well i'm dating this kid named Adam actually :) its a unique situation haha but we talk everyday all day... he's coming to boise to see me in nine days and i'm very excited! He goes to our school, but is orginally from Philly so he's a big city boy. Don't worry I've added a few more ppl to our cheering section for this year! haha
Aything else? I dont think so... i 'm working the Eagle Rodeo this upcoming weekend and that should be fun. I payed a visit to the mall today and definitly did more damage than what i should have. oops.
Well I miss everyone so much! Jordyn you should really post an update for all of us... as well as Robyn to let us know how your bodies are doing. Sandy... we would love to hear about your engagement and how things are going with that. And the rest of you too! Well i would like to know atleast!
Until next time...
love Blake

Aloha from Coach Larson! Can you tell I needed a vacation?
Hello you Wonderful Ladies! This whole blog thing is going to let me show you a whole different side of myself! Maybe Sandy, Hollie, Jordyn, Asumi and Julie know a little bit of my craziness from driving with me through the years, but the rest of you, might be a little shocked!
As many of you know, Thad and I, Coach Nixon, Chris Nixon her nephew, Ray and Panda her brother and sister-in law and Darren our friend, went to Hawaii at the beginning of May! We were there for 10 days and had so much fun! This is a little video of our first night on Waikiki Beach. We were getting our new dive masks ready for the week's adventures, and you have to rub toothpaste on them to prepare them not to fog on you when you are diving or snorkeling! Coach Nixon interviewed me and asked me about the first day of our trip. Maybe it's because I hadn't slept much, or due to my need of a vacation...Missing you all!
We had a super fun time! We went to Pearl Harbor, The Polynesian Cultural Center, The Laie Temple, Hukilau Beach (where we held a cute Octopus that a diver caught!), Waikiki (surfing), and then we headed to the big island of Hawaii on the Kona side where we scuba dived, kayaked, hiked through the Volcano's lava tubes, snorkeled, AND DIDN'T EVEN GET SUNBURNED! It was fabulous. Feels like a dream now. A great dream. As you can tell from our faces, we didn't want to wake up!
Now we are busy with camp details! We start on Monday! We have 80 little kids coming that want to grow up and be just like you all! We'll teach them how to jump. And how to run. And how to shoot. And then just like you, they'll dream and dream and practice and practice, and before they know it...they're in college, with the last 4 years of their career to go. The WNBA is always an option, and so they keep dreaming. I'm dreaming about the time I'll get to see ya again!
I love you all! Remember that Jordyn and Robyn both had surgery. Give them a call of cheer!
If you want to come back...I can get you in the Stadium of Fire performance with a guest FOR FREE!! Call for info. They want you to go out dressed in your uniforms and perform for the crowd of 65,000 people. You will have floor seats for the whole firework show and you can bring a guest. They asked UVU before anyone for their athletes! So awesome! They would like atleast 8 players from our team! Please call me this week if you and a guest would like Stadium of Fire tickets and FAME!!!
Love ya!

Lauren's summer so far.
Hey Everyone,
Thanks Blake for putting together an awesome blog for us, the technically challenged. I figured it was time someone else added to the blog to give your fingers a little break ; ).
It has really been great soaking up these California rays! I love the sunshine and sometimes wonder what motivated me to move to Utah, j/k. Cohiba and I have gotten to do a lot of catching up! He is so cute and I love him so much! I really missed him and now we get all the time in the world together, we have been having a blast running down by the American River. He won't fetch on land, but throw that stick out in the water and that pup is all over it, poor boy though is a little retarded and forgets where the stick goes so i have to throw rocks at it to make a splash so he can find it, sometimes i just have to throw a new stick all together.
Julie and Blake's California trip looked so fun that i just had to have a SoCal trip of my own! I took my little sister, Beanie (Coralyn) down to her dad's house in Fullerton then went to my Best friend's Jamie-Girl in Santa Monica, It was so nice to see her! She has the cutest cats! They are so big and fat, they sound like bowling balls when they go down stairs. It was so nice there, the weather was perfect, I got to run along Venice Beach the next morning which was beautiful! I missed the Ocean so much! The darn seagulls in Utah always throw me off! Haha, ever so often a bum would stop me and ask me my height then try to get close to measure ... that is when i would start running again with a side-step just long enough to say goodbye.
Jamie-girl and i walked along main street for a little while looking at shops, we found one shop that was absolutely adorable! I just wish i were rich and could have bought the whole store to share all its secret treasures w/ my team. It would have been the perfect attire for our Hawaii Trip! (So excited for that P.S.! I think my mom already has her plane ticket!)
Friday and Saturday were a lot of fun too! I went to Diamond Bar where my Aunt and Uncle live in this really nice gated community. My uncle Larry's birthday was on friday so we all had dinner at their country club, on the way to dinner we saw Snoop Dogg standing on his driveway with some friends, of course he lives 2 houses down from my Aunt and Uncle, who else? haha. Dinner was really nice! We all had to wear dresses and sports coats, the waiter pulled my chair out for me and pushed it in while i was sitting down! Then i tried to scoot my chair in even more, but of course i had the table leg and hit the table with the chair shaking all the dishes on the table!
When we went back to the house for cake and presents my uncle larry (he is a rather tall fellow w/ quite the lung capacity) not only blew all the candles out with one breath, but blew all the nuts off the top of the cake all over the table. My Aunt Nancy's mom was brushing walnuts off her lap for 5 minutes! It was really rather hilarious. Later that night we had fun cousin bonding time! It had been such a long time since i had gotten to spend the night with both Alex and Jessica, so we popped in a chick flick and chatted while making a hair-braiding and Massage Train, Except i only got to be in the front a few short times, because they both wanted to take advantage of my massaging and back scratching expertise, thank you Robyn, Blake, Mari, Julie, Betsy, Susie, Kayla, and Veva (last year) for always giving me the opportunity to practice!
Saturday was my cousin's bridal shower, we played some fun games and had a lovely lunch! You bet i went back for seconds! Larissa, Jessica's sister, is the Maid of Honor (still want to see that movie) so she had to make the rehearsal bouquet out of the ribbons, which all of us under 40 had never heard of before.
Saturday afternoon I drove to Corona to spend time with my grandparents on my mother's side. They have a lot of Cats! They show them and they are in magazines and are very well manicured! I asked Marti how many cats they owned at the moment, she said she didn't know but probably just over 20! They really are fun cats though will the most hilarious names such as "Marvelous nite 4 a moon dance" "Epilepsy" and "Aja" They were so fun! I had such a wonderful visit with them! They are really not like grandparents at all! I felt like i was talking to some old friends who I had not seen in a while, we talked for hours. Marti shared her Secret Sauce recipe with me for artichoke dip, oh it is to die for! LOVE IT! I really can't get over how much fun i had with them! I laughed so much and actually miss them right now! Who knew grandparents could be so cool!
After our visit that night i went out with my friend Anthony, i had not seen him in like 2 years so it was fun, we pretty much just walked around and talked the whole time about all sorts of fun things, little did i know the freeway closed at night for construction! It took me over 2 hours to go 5 miles! I did not get back to Corona until after three, where i was lost because i had to take a different exit. I ended up calling Betsy that late! She was so sweet and tried to look up directions for me, but her internet was not working so i ended up flashing my lights at a cop and asking for directions! Could i have felt anymore blonde!
Turns out I had passed border street like 15 times but it was called Shurman a little down the road and i did not know it.
Sunday was great also, i Stopped in Paso to have a bbq with my stepdad, Cori (my little brother), Lacey (My sister), David (Her husband), Evey (My niece) and Jessica (another one of my best friends). Beanie forgot her suit so she swam in mine and got fried by the sun! Cori was doing backflips into the pool! i thought he was going to hit his head he was so close to the edge! he would be a good gymnast! It was so nice to see all of them, Evey is not even two and a half yet and she is already half my size! She is so cute, she has a really deep husky voice and curls that go for miles!
We finally made it home Sunday night to watch a movie for mother's day with my mom. Over all a fun trip! I got to see so many people who i have not seen in a long time! It was absolutely wonderful! I really was not ready to go back the cleaning out foreclosed houses (my job).
Well, I think this blog is officially long enough! Can't wait to read everyone's postings!
LOVE <3>

California with Jules!
Well so far, i'm the only one that has been writing on this thing... that's okay. I'm sure all of you are very busy with all kinds of fun things going on and will tell us about them after!
As most of you know, me and Julie went to Valencia, CA for a few days after school with Andrew (julie's boy) Jeff and Brad all of which are on the golf team! It was quite the road trip and so much fun! The first day the boys all went golfing so me and julie had this mansion of a house to ourselves where we played outside all day long! They had tennis courts, and a huge pool with a diving board as well as a tree that julie loved climbing! Of course she just hopped right up in the tree...meanwhile i was stuck on the ground... i dont really climb trees.
We played games in the pool and tennis too... I want you all to know i beat Julie in a game of short court in tennis. :) We both got burnt especially Jules! She burnt to a crisp! We all met Andy's family...which i only say that because Julie got to meet her boy's family. They are all super nice and i think they loved her! Who wouldn't!? We did some shopping and went to Venice Beach. For those of you that have never been there... it's a beach where anything and everything goes! We saw all kinds of fun things.
Lets see, we ate at In and Out and went to Magic Mountain. You would think that Julie would love going on big rides because she's such a thrill seeker, but no no she wouldn't come close. She tried the first one and closed her eyes the whole time! Who knew, so she just followed me and andy and andy's brother around all day while we went on the rides. It seems like it would have been the other way around with me being too chicken, but i surprised everyone! i loved them! Well that's California in a knutshell...
now i'm up at my grandma's house just scrapbooking away! It's great! when i get back in town i will add some photos of our trip! hope everyone is having a great summer!
love ya guys and miss you lots!

Blake-Unis-B-lake update :)
Well, I guess I will be the first one to post a blog and since I don't see much of you anymore, inform you on what i've been up to since our season has been over and my plans for the summer! To be quite honest, you guys haven't really missed out on too much with me. I've probably been up to about the same things as all of you... studying, working out, sleeping, and enjoying all the free time. How nice has it been to come home in the afternoon and have all the time in the world to get things done. Coach, don't me wrong, I loved all the time we got to spend together it's just nice to have a little time to ourselves now a days, which i'm sure you can appreciate as well.
AMP went really well . I think everyone can agree that we all LOVE Dave... in more ways than he's just a great trainer ;) if you're pickin up what I'm puttin down haha .... and the workouts were sooo intense! We were all sore in places we didn't even know existed! I think that everyone is really excited to put his workout plan and nutrition meal to the test over the summer!
Last weekend some of us went and supported our golf team, who I think you all know that we are pretty good friends with. They played in the Cougar Classic in Provo and did pretty well for their last tournament of the years. I think for those of us that went have a whole new appreciation for golf because we spent about five hours out there which covered 18 holes and were exhausted, sunburnt, and hungry and they have to play 36 holes in one day!
As for the summer I'll be headin back Boise and I really need to find a job! I've sent in resume's to four or five medical offices hoping to be a receptionist. I think that working in a healthcare atmosphere will help me to decided what I want to do for the future. I have no big summer plans except for a trip to the lovely Canada in July... and I might make a quick trip to California at the end of this week actually before I even go home (we'll see what dad has to say about that one). And of course, I'll be hittin up the speed school again.
Well good luck on all your finals everyone! I need to go study for mine :) Remember we are the smartest team! We have to keep that legacy up!
Love you girls! and I miss you already!
